As of February 2026, Blizzard dropped the '2' - the game is now simply 'Overwatch'. Season 2 of 2026 brought 5 new heroes simultaneously: Domina (Tank), Emre (DPS), Mizuki (Support), Anran (DPS), and Jetpack Cat (Support), plus the Perks system that adds in-match hero upgrades.
The Perks system changes duel pacing: at levels 3, 5 and 7 per hero, you pick between two ability upgrades. Heroes scale in-match, making sustained tracking more important than ever.
