How it works

We calculate your equivalent sensitivity to ensure that the distance you move your mouse translates to the same rotation in-game, regardless of the title.

Converted sensitivity = (Original sensitivity x Original DPI) / Target DPI x Game ratio

How sensitivity works in Apex Legends

What is eDPI in Apex Legends?

eDPI (effective DPI) is your mouse DPI multiplied by your in-game sensitivity. This number lets you compare configurations regardless of the DPI you use.

Recommended range

800-1200 eDPI (ImperialHal: 880, Genburten: 1040)

Technical Guide: Apex Legends Sensitivity (May 2026)

Source Engine and Yaw 0.022: Same as CS2

Apex shares the 0.022 yaw with CS2 as it's built on the Source engine. However, the 110-degree FOV makes identical cm/360 movements feel visually faster. Pros use noticeably higher eDPIs than in tactical shooters: the average is 840 eDPI because prolonged tracking demands wider turns.

ADS Sensitivity: The hidden key

Apex allows custom ADS sensitivity for each zoom level. Most pros keep multipliers at 1.0 for short-range optics (1x-2x) and slightly reduce to 0.9-0.95 for long-range (4x-8x). Keeping 1.0 ensures your hipfire muscle memory transfers directly.

Response Curve and Dead Zone

If playing on a controller in PC, the Response Curve affects sensitivity feel. Linear (0) provides 1:1 input, Classic (5) smooths micro-adjustments. Most pros use values between 0-3. Keep your Dead Zone as low as possible without drift (4-6%).
